We know Chancellor Martin’s announcement regarding housing closures and a move to online instruction has caused many questions, some of which we are still working to answer. We have heard from some of you already and we want to provide our current best answers to the concerns we have heard most frequently and provide you with an update on how Student Financial Services can best support you as we move to online instruction.

I’m in another city for spring break and I don’t have the money to change my destination to my permanent address city from St. Louis, OR I’m in St. Louis and I don’t have the money to get home, can you help?

This is our highest priority and yes, SFS can help. Please call the SFS Front Desk (not your SFS counselor) at 314-935-5900 and let us know that you’re in this situation. Based on your situation, we will let you know how we can help. Please be prepared with current details of your travel plans.

I have items in my residence hall/apartment that I need for classes or at home – laptop, books, winter coat, etc.

Residential Life is working on a solution to this and will share with students soon.

I am counting on the earnings from my on-campus job, but since I won’t come back to campus, I can’t earn that money. How can I make the funds up?

We understand the importance of this issue and are working on ways to support students in a fair and equitable way, but we don’t have answers yet. We will share updates as we have them.
